Where to stay on Bantayan Island.

The three towns

• Santa Fe – ferry port, many resorts, beaches. Easiest for a first visit.
• Bantayan town – the island’s old centre with market, church and shops.
• Madridejos – quieter, in the north of the island.

Avoid booking scams

Since September 2025 more than 200 travellers lost money (an estimated ₱500,000 (reports differ on whether this covers all cases)) to fake resort pages on Facebook. Some fake pages even have thousands of likes.

• Book via the resort’s own website or a well-known booking platform.
• Never pay to a private GCash or Maya number sent by chat.
• Call the resort on a number you found on its website or on Google Maps.
• Our list of verified businesses with official contacts confirmed by the business is being built.
