Bantayan has a small airport in Santa Fe, but as of November 2026 we have no scheduled flights confirmed as of November 2026. Fly into Mactan-Cebu, then continue to Bantayan by road and ferry. This page shows how to plan that day so you do not miss the last ferry.
Is there a flight to Bantayan?
As of November 2026 we have no scheduled flights confirmed as of November 2026. The last operator, LEASCOR (sold through King Aces), suspended its Cebu–Bantayan flights from 2 April 2026, citing a fuel shortage. Booking pages we read in November 2026 still show the route as suspended, without a restart date. We found no confirmed direct service from Manila.
2024
King Aces launched its Cebu–Bantayan service on 28 August, a flight of about 30–45 minutes.2025
flights paused in May and resumed in September.2026
suspended from 2 April 2026; no restart found as of November 2026.
When it flew, fares were ₱888 launch fare in 2024; later booking pages showed about ₱3,350–3,500 one way, and tickets could not be refunded or changed. We will update this page as soon as an operator confirms new flights.
Fly to Mactan-Cebu instead
Book your flight to Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB). From Manila the flight takes about 1 h 25 min to 1 h 40 min, with Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines and AirAsia – aggregators list about 25–31 flights a day. From there to Bantayan is a day trip by road and sea:
| Leg | Time | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Airport → Cebu North Bus Terminal (taxi or Grab) | 30–90 minutes, depending on traffic | blogs report taxi about ₱300–400 by white metered taxi, Grab about ₱350–500 (the app shows a fixed price) – not confirmed, check the meter or app |
| Bus to Hagnaya port (San Remigio) | about 3–5 hours | ₱259 aircon / ₱209 ordinary (one 2026 guide – confirm at the terminal), plus terminal fee ₱25 (₱20 discounted) |
| Or: van to Hagnaya | about 3.5–4 hours | ₱300–350 (reported in guides, not confirmed) |
| Or: private car from the airport to Hagnaya | about 3–4 hours | about ₱3,000–4,000 per car |
| Ferry Hagnaya → Santa Fe | about one hour, plus waiting | ₱370 / ₱392 |
In total: about 6–8 hours from landing in Cebu, or about 8–11 hours from take-off in Manila (our estimate from the legs above, without check-in time). Note: no direct bus from the airport to Hagnaya – change at the Cebu North Bus Terminal. Full details of each step: getting here. All costs on one page: prices.
Plan your day around the last ferry
| Checkpoint | Latest time | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Land in Cebu | about 9 AM | time for bags and the ride into the city |
| Leave the airport | about 10 AM | travel guides give this as the latest safe time |
| Bus leaves Cebu | about 1 PM | later buses usually arrive after the last ferry |
| Last ferry from Hagnaya | about 4:30 to 5:30 PM – published times differ | confirm with the ferry company that day |
- Delays happen: ferries have run one to two hours late (SunStar, Oct 2026), and the ride to the bus terminal alone can take 30–90 minutes, depending on traffic.
- Landing later? A private car saves time, but you still need a ferry. Otherwise plan a night in Cebu City or near Hagnaya and cross the next morning.
- High tide: Hagnaya port has paused loading at high tide since 28 March 2026 (earthquake damage). See weather & tides.
- Ferry times: the full timetable is on our ferry page.
Going back to catch a flight
Do the same trip in reverse and start early. We have no reliable source for the latest safe ferry before an evening flight – not confirmed. Our advice: take a morning ferry from Santa Fe on the day you fly, or spend the last night in Cebu City. From November to February, storms or strong monsoon winds can stop boats, so keep a buffer day – see best time to visit.
Bantayan airport
- Where: in Santa Fe, about 4 km by road from the ferry port (our own measurement on OpenStreetMap).
- What it is: a small airstrip run by the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA). Guides say it is now used for private charter flights and skydiving.
- Bigger planes: a longer runway has been planned for years; we found no 2026 update – not confirmed.
