What it is

Ogtong Cave is a limestone cave with a spring-fed pool. It is part of Ogtong Cave Resort, a private resort on the coast of Santa Fe, west of Sugar Beach. Non-guests could visit on a day-use ticket that also covered the resort’s beach and pools.

After the earthquake on 30 September 2025, the Department of Tourism reported Ogtong Cave Resort as closed because of rockfalls (reported 2–3 October 2025). Travel guides from 2026 still describe the cave as closed for a safety check. A resort guide from April 2026 lists normal hours but does not mention the earthquake. These sources conflict. Ask the resort before you go.
